I dont think I would do any of the place where I would be stepping or kneeling. That Black Plastic on the front bumper is a great spot to prop yourself up on while doing some engine work, and the black plastic on the rear bumper is a great step when climbing in the back. I would imagine that after a few times climbing in and out that the paint would end up rubbing off or getting really scratched up. Why dont you just install a roll pan in the back?

You may not think those are high traffic places now but if you do any work or have any work done in the engine bay even for routine maintainance that is where alot of people will kneel down or set tools down. I'd really just leave them alone. The roll pan would look fine, you dont need a lowered truck to have a roll pan. I have seen a truck around here that has the roll pan molded and fitted just so that when you look at the backend of the truck you cant see any seams, it litterally looks like its all one piece and looks so slick. I'll have to get a pic of it next time I see him.
I'll also agree with Hammer though, paint the mirrors, just dont paint anymore of the bumper pads.....
