do you have a level lift??? if so your factory shocks are over extending you need 2" longer ones . that is if you did a level?

they made me re size but the pic is weird shaped so this is as good as i could do its there in size at standereds finnaly

my truck did the same thing and it ended up being the front stabilizer bar link.

The wheel hardly has to travel more than 1/2 a inch to hear the noise

I had this problem before. It ended up being the bushings at the top of the shock was all worn off. Then the shock had about an inch to move up and down then slamming the mount.

As stated, it could be your shocks your ball joints. Get under your truck and see what kind of condition your ball joints are.
