Cheap? Let's see between primer paint and clear coat, hardener, reducer, etc. I was upwards of $150 for mine...and the top picture was my solstice with 30,000 miles on that paint, and the bottom was my fiance's trans am with around the same with no flaking, bubbling, fading, etc. We've done this to 15 vehicles now with no issues what-so-ever. One of those being a Bonneville bought brand new that were done the same week it was bought. It was sold with 140,000 miles and still looked good.We paint them the same way we would paint a car.

Nobody ever called your method "cheap". The reason yours did last is because all the steps that were taken. "Cheap" I would call picking up random colored spray paint and spraying your calipers. That's cheap.
I think it will look good painted red, but I am biased bc mine are painted red . If you do it just make sure you clean the calipers good so the paint has a good surface to stick to.
AAWWWWW! Ain't that sweet! Dog and RH are makin up...
Awww......that is sweet.
And Ill jump on the bandwagon here of agreeing also on not going cheap and using high temp paint and what calipers do get hot. Ive changed more than a few sets of pads to know.
On a side note, I am getting ready to paint mine here very soon also.
