i just received 3 8" Tang Band sub woofers for my 18th b day last week. thay may only be 8 inches but the have 12mm of "x-max" so them move ALOT of air! they should be able to out perform any 12"ers. and they are only $60 each on parts express. look at the size of the magnets!! here are the begininges on my box.





they will be mounted INVERTED to show off the magnets and get nore space inside the box.

those look pretty tough for 8s. whats the rms and max. what amp are you going to run?

 

im not sure. im looking to run maybe 1000watts because they can handle 300 watts. but im looking for an amp that also looks good because they will be a plexy glass shelf just above the box that will light up and hold the amp.
and there is still just enough room on the other side to make a small tray.

 

and they are good at 150watts but can handle 300 watts. because they have a massive paper cone and a 4 layer coil. i would look at them if u wand some bass but not rattle out bubble like american interiors apart.

 

yeah i just want to add a little bass i dont need took rattle my brain. are those going in the truck or rx?

haha. ya. you have a quad so im not sure how i would go about doing yours. i would drop 2 of these in your center console! bc i hate the idea of giving up that perfectly good space under the back seats! u know?

 

i have an 08 rc as well but my wife just gave birth to our third and i need the extra room so its sitting in my garage collecting dust right now. i have the center consol with the lower storage in my 04 maybe i could fit one in there. i was also looking to add a little umph to my tahoe's factory system.

 

o ya! just throw a few of these in the back of that tahoe and u will love it! congrats on the kid!

 

and you can get a supper easy simple box for the tahoe too!
