Who has some of the Halo headlights on their Ram? I am thinking of getting a set, but I wanted to know how bright they are and are they worth buying? Also, how easy is the installation of them, are they plug and play?

I think they're absolutely hideous. I cant stand the look of every single halo headlight on the ram i've seen. Look in the For Sale section...theres a guy looking for the stock headlight to replace his halos because they arent bright at all. I guess you lose like half the light from the stock lights unless you get HIDs also (another $200)

 

I have projector headlights with halos, and I don't think they look bad. But they are actually white, not yellow like the BMW halos, and I have 6000k HIDs. They are pretty bright, not as bright as actual headlights, but maybe like 3/4 power headlights.



The LEDs are on too, but you can't see them because of the angle.


I think the HIDs are on in this picture, but I'm not sure because the halos are pretty bright, and I took two pictures, one with the HIDs on and one with them off, and they looked almost identical.

 

If your gonna do halos, I recommend HID's

 

Yea, I will probably just go with a set of HID lights for the head's and fogs...thanks for yalls input...

 

Im curious on what HIDs have to do with Halos? You can run Halos on halogens. Halos are not made for massive light output but only visuals. They serve no other function than that.

 

it doesn't have anything to do with it really, I just think HID's will look better and more appealing than a regular halogen light on the halos.

 

Go with HIDs if you go with the halos. Personally, I think that they look OK not great but not bad on a Ram but on a BMW I think they look great. It is your decision. Do what you want.

 

The 02-05 halo lights look much better then the new trucks to me. The 06-08 lights are just too big to make it look right. If you do go projectors go with the HID's. I had that set-up on my 02 Ram.
