Default What to do a burnout on 05 ram hemi

Hey folks,
Just bought a new 2005 Ram 1500 QC 4wd Hemi SLT w/ 12K miles, Dealership was giving a deal I just couldn't refuse. Anyways, What mods would be required to make this thing be capable of doing a burnout? It seems it just doesn't want to break loose, And thats with an empty bed and on a smooth surface.

Don't get me wrong, I don't burnout often at all. It just seems dissapointing I can't even break the wheels loose.

I found a used superchips on craigslist today. Im supposed to go pick it up this evening. From what I am reading I need 91 octane to use the best tune. So Ill load up on 91 octane before I go. Heres hoping.

The gears will be a last resort, As I don't wanna screw with the warranty to much.

Full brake, full throttle, then ease off the brake until RPMS soar.
Or full wheel crank in a open area.

If you power brake it, you should be able to do a burnout without a tuner.

Here's a question, how much heavier is a QC than a std cab? My 03 std cab with 3:55 gear (open carrier) and 285/50-20 (30.25") will light'em pretty much just by thump'n it using only a touch of brake. And that's with 100# of ballast. Planning on a setting it up with a 3:92/posi in October when I get back from the Philippines.

Peg legs are easy to break loose but it looks gay so why bother. A QC is about 300-400lbs heavier give or take...4x4 will also be heavier by at least a few hundred.

I actually thought a QC would be more. I'll have to get mine wieghed, it was the most basic model available that they would put a Hemi in. It feels very light. When I changed the front seat, I tossed the original out by myself, believe me the Laramie seat took two people to put back in.. The seat is the only wieght I've added to the truck. I think the 20" are even lighter than the originnal 17" steel wheels.

Say no more and we’ll just keep it a secret among ourselves…
