Hey Guys new here , but i bought myself a set of 35's for my 2005 ram 1500 hemi 4x4 and what im trying to figure out is should i do a body lift or a level kit , ive heard level kits cause wear on the rack and pinnion in tranny burns all the lube so , just if you can advise which would be my best option and i dont have coil suspension so thats out of picture, so if anyone can assist with some advice would be appreciated thanks.

 

No issue's with the Rack or trans with a lift or leveling kit. The racks are a common problem.
35's are a bit crowded for just a leveling kit IMO. 35's should be on a 4"-6" lift.
A level kit with new longer shocks would be enough to give clearance for the 35's but again, it's too crowded. Just a matter of opinion.

Do a leveling kit/body lift combo. That'll even it out, lift it 3", and give it enough room to look good with those tires. Shouldn't be too expensive either, less than a suspension lift.

 

+1 Body lift and leveling kit combo. should still only be in the $500-$600 price range for both and if you're handy with your tools, you can definently do your own install.

 

okay thanks guys appreciate the info, so next question , where would best place to be to order these you guys got any in mind , i found a 3" level on superlift.com but i dont what you guys prefer liek does each have its own percs and what ever or , like go with rancho shocks

 

Screw buying the level kit, you have a torsion bar front end. Crank the bolts level. I've never seen any real advantage to the new keys over just cranking the bolts for free. Both put torque on the torsion bars the same way.
Then get the body lift, Google the Performance Accessories kit, it's the best one out there, should be readily available from just about anyone online for around $350. Get the optional gap guards or make your own...

i cranked my t-bars 3" and havnt had any problems. just dont forget to get an alignment when your done.

 

I have 35's on my truck with just a 2" leveling lift, I think it looks pretty damn good. Still looking at a 6" suspension lift though.
