Why lower?
#21
so my three yr old daughter could climb in and out by herself. at least thats what i told my wife. i also told her that the sun was getting in her eyes so i had to tint the windows. there is no real answer to this question other than i wanted too. why do people do a 6 in lift add some 20's and drive around the city all the time? i like lowered and lifted as long as its a RAM

Damn! I'm shocked!!!
I've been watching this thread since the OP first posted, just knowing I was going to have to step in here and break up a fight. Personally, I would have thought one of the 3rd Gen Mods or myself would have had to lock it by the end of day one!
oh yea, and as for the topic:
I personally would NEVER lower a truck. I hunt, I fish, I play hard (when I can, which is not that often anymore). I could not do these things with a lowered, or even stock height truck.
But that said, I do like the looks of some of them I have seen. I don't think they are functional, but then again 90% of the lifted ones are pavement queens, too.
I've said it before: It's your truck, your money, do anything you want to do to it and the hell with what anybody else thinks...

On the plus side, I've learned that a more appropriate topic would have been "Why slam?" rather than "Why lower?"

Putting a mild 2-3" drop on a truck really isn't bad and in most cases can look really good, slamming a full size truck on the other hand looks bad to me and serves no purpose. That being said, to be perfectly honest I like the ***-end up stance that my truck has, reminds me of the way the old 60's and 70's muscle cars looked with the large radials in the back and smaller ones in the front. IMO it makes it look like it has a more agressive stance than being leveled and lifted or leveled and lowered.
