all kinds, really. What are you wanting to do? You can fit just about anything up under there.

I was just going to put a 1 super turbo 3in / 3 out and replace the tailpipe with 3in single side. The guy at the muffler shop said the factory tailpipes are manral bent and i would lose that extra anyways. He said that he would replace the muffler and a piece of pipe in there for $40 if i buy the muffler. I dont know i geuss i just didn't want it pieced together. What do you think?

I have a 07 1500 4.7 and that is what I did. Borla XS pro 3" in 3" offset out and a short piece of pipe to keep the factory look.

how does it sound? do you know what size pipe the factory tailpipe is? I don't need to get like 3"IN AND 2 3/4" OFFSET OUT? Did you do it yourself and weld or clamp it?

It is a little strange, the tailpipe is a 3" pipe crimped down to 2.5" at the muffler outlet? I clamped and tack welded the piece in myself that way I could put it back if I was not happy. Real simple to do. Just get a piece of pipe to make up the difference in the size of the mufflers and fill the space.

So the tailpipe where it connects to the muffler is 3". But the outlet of the muffler is 2.5". so 3in/3out offset will weld cleanly with like a 3" intermediate pipe. I was just trying to firgure out if i could clamp it all together myself cheaper than i could have the guy weld it up for $40. If i had access to a welder i could do it myself but i do not. Thanks for the info.
