Default Stacking a Diablo with Superchips

Has anyone done the stacking of a Diablo with a Superchips? What I am referring to is using the SC to set the TCM parameters where I want it (shift points, shift firmness, other features if they ever release them) and then programming the PCM with a Diablo. I got to thinking that since my 04 doesn't have TCM control from the DSP, maybe I could first load the SC onto the truck and set the TCM where I want it, then load the 93 tune onto the PCM from my DSP and have the best of both worlds. So, anyone done this or know if it is even possible? I just am unsure about if the SC will change the PCM when I am loading the trans options onto the truck and then make it (the PCM) unreadable to the DSP.

I dont think you can just adjust the TCM with the SC. I believe that it is a package deal where the TCM and PCM are combined, the only thing you can adjust is the rev-limiter and the WOT shift points and thats only with a tune. Im sure there may be a y to load the TCM settings from the SC and add them to the DSP if you went to a CMR dealer.

Just a thought but why dont you look into a shift kit for it?

That is what I was questioning, if the sc would write both the tcm and PCM and then the DSP not being able to tune the PCM.

I could do a shift kit but I want to be able to change shift points at both wot and part throttle. Basically I am planning ahead for if/when sc releases their part throttle shift points and TM control.

LOL, I sure do have a lot of time to be thinking about stuff. Gotta love summer vacation .

I did some reading about this idea on some other forums and it turns out that some people have tried this with a SCT and superchips stack and were sucessful. Looks like I am going to volunteer to be the test case on stacking the DSP and SC bc I decided I am going to try it. Now I just have to find a sc to try it with.

There's no way that it can work. Both units reflash the ecu and re-write it, so you will lose either one that you do first. You will lose your factory tune and won';t be able to get it back. Not a risk I would say to take. I'd call someone over at Diablo as Superchips guys prob won't know anything but what's written on the piece of paper in front of them...lol

Bad idea, I have done something similiar. Since SCT doesn't controll the tranny I used a superchips to set my shift points and but SCT over the top of it. It was great, until I needed to adjust the superchips. I returned the SCT program to stock and tried the superchips. Superchips flashed a code of E39 for "corrupted or altered stock program file."

Once I got the superchips unlocked, I tried to reprogram the SCT. SCT said corrupted stock file. I then had SCT create a restore program through liveload to reuse my SCT tunes. Basically this all happened over a four day period. IHMO, bad idea.

I dont think the SCT had the specific tunes like diablo and SC have, I believe it is just for custom tuning. Take it to a CMR dealer or call them up and see if they can write the program file from the sc to the dsp in a custom tune. As dog said stacking them is just going to wipe out one tune with the other.

Also teach, I have driven in a 04' ram with the same cam setup that both of us will be putting in shortly. The truck belongs to the guy who will be doing my cam install. Basically his is running with the SCT and stock trans shifts. The only thing he complains about is at WOT it shifts from second to third and then down shifts trying to find second again, putting the truck in tow/haul stopped the truck from "searching" for the gear. His is also running mid 13's in the 1/4 mile with a heavy *** quadcab. The truck flies man, the shifts would be at the back of my mind for now, put the cam in with the diablo tune and see if things are any better
