Default Hawk Brakes - Not on my truck?

So I ordered a set of Power Slots and Hawk brake pads for my truck a few weeks ago, and finally got around to installing them over the weekend... until I pulled the first caliper and noticed that the Hawk brake pad isn't even CLOSE to the same size or configuration as my stock pads. See attached photo, the stock pad is the smaller one on top.

Convinced they sent the wrong part, I went to Summit Racing's website and punched in my info for my truck ('07 Ram 1500 Hemi, QC, 4x4) and they come up with the same brakes, that will never fit my truck!

Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like maybe you got the Megacab/2500 brakes??? i would use a search for reg cab 1500 basic and see what you come up with. Use the 4.7L engine option too as Summit's sit has been wrong many times before because those paper pushers think they know what they are doing.

Do the rotors match up? Are they the same Thickness?

Thumbs up

Thanks brother! I got the 722's in my order, obviously they need to be the 695's. I'm just waiting for AutoAnything to work out the screwup now... The rotors appear to be the correct size so at least I got that going for me.

Sorry to hear/read about your tint experience... I've had a note on my desk to call Zeibart (the one on Central Ave) for some tint for my front windows but after reading about your experience I think I'll be looking elsewhere. Hope it all works out for you.

I just went back to Summit's site and looked again and I can't find two options for brakes for my truck. Then I took a closer look at the links you posted up and it looks like the option you posted up is actualy for a Dakota, not a Ram?

I'm gonna call a dealer and see what the skinny is on these parts...

Application in the links Dog gave you say dakota, aspen, and RAM 1500, so they should work, but it doesn't hurt to be sure.

Post up the exact part number when you confirm it. My front pads have about 20% life left in them, but when they are done, I was planning to do the Powerslot Rotor and Hawk Pad thing...
