Spark plug problems?
I recently changed my spark plugs in my truck and i cant figure out why my truck is doing what its doing. At idle, when i'm sitting in my truck, every so many seconds i can feel a slight vibration coming from my engine, its kind of hard to explain but i'm hoping you guys know what i'm talking about. Is it a spark plug thats missing? or not firing correctly? I did each plug one by one, made sure all the tires went on the correct plug and put dielectric grease in every wire socket...any suggestions?
You might try going one range colder on your plugs and see if that helps. I know it did on mine. I would also recommend checking your gaps (if you havent' already). Even though spark plugs are supposed to be pregapped, I've found them not.
I know man but heat range and gap are two of the biggest areas of trouble on plugs.
I didnt gap them all because it said they came pregapped and when i got back to my friends where i was doing it, we couldnt find his gapper...thats probably the problem so i might take a few out and see where they all sit gap wise..
Factory gaps are notorious for being off. Always gap plugs before installing! most gap gauges only cost a buck or so. Buy one and keep it in the console.

I would just pull them all and gap them. You can't do random plugs because it can only take one plug out of whack to cause slight vibrations! Get a wire gap tool, not those climb the mountain slider gap tools that are $.97 at the counter. Not very accurate. They are for those "Close Enough" kind of people. My uncle is that way....lol If the vibration bothers you, then it's not a good enough routine goin on!
So should i go back and redo them all? or check some of them and see if they are on?
Totally agree. When I did mine, 10 of the 16 were not gapped to spec. Most we way off. Best $3 I spent that day.
