don't do that, it's not easy, and it's not gonna get the result you want. either procharge it, sts turbo, or cam. the cam will get you what you want on a truck, TORQUE.

if you wanna buy a 6.1 do it man thats up to you. If ur gonna buy a crate I am pretty sure u can find a better one like maybe an aluminum block 426 make it a real HEMI.... The whole thing you have to remember is with this bull**** economy and the big three going downhill You would be better off not buying a 6.1... **** I mean if chrysler's shi* hits the fan who knows how long ull be able to get parts. But a complete custom motor from somewhere else is gonna give you more flexibility with parts and what not... Where as the block will cost more u will prolly save quite a bit on the rest of the parts heres a price comp:

http://www.bouchillonperformance.com...ateEngines.asp

they have quite a few mopar motors to check out..... give you a few more options anyway.... but get what you want just remember these trucks were built for housing a 5.7l so motor mounts, firewalls and who knows what else may need to be altered... not too mention the tranny and rear end. and if u have 4x4 then lol good luck!

If I ever get the money, Id love to put a true dual with LT headers on my truck, Nice agressive Cam, High stall TC and a nice little Pro-charger kit and couple sets of 4.56 gears. But thats ALOT of mulah!!! Even if I do all the work myself, Still a fortune. And if I can't afford the small things like that, the probability that ill ever do any kind of engine swap is non existant.

But hey I did just buy a dodge bedrug, That should make the truck a little faster, right?

I've seen lots of turbo and blower kits for Rams for sale and up on ebay lately. Apparently everyone wants to get rid of them after they overboost the stock block and it blows....

I aheven't seen anything but new and only Procharger on Ebay. Find me a used kit and i will buy! 6psi is all the stock engine can handle. 8psi is asking for trouble as the connecting rods are the weakest link in the Hemi engine.

what really suprised me is chrysler didnt come out with some special edition like the srt10 but srt-8.... there i alot of people who seem to prefer the 8 over the 10... no instead lets make a night runner 5.7 rumble bee 5.7 daytona 5.7 effin idiots man I would have bought a srt-8 edition ram.

I think that the rumble bees should have received a 6.1 tell me it wouldnt of been sick.... or maybe a dakota with a 5.7? lol

dont worry it will be called the srt-8 grey goose edition guarenteed
