Default Who's doing the Valvoline 300,000 guarantee oil change

I'm thinking of doing the Valvoline 300,000 guarantee. Who out there is going with this program, and what does everyone think of the guarantee they will back you up with??

I 've heard good things about their new SynPower synthetic oil. They claim they will cover you up to 300,000 miles for the life of you engine. I'm close to the 75,000 mile cut off so it will be VERY soon.

I 've been going with Mobil one for the last 3 oil changes. And it just so happens I need to do a oil change because of my big trip up and back to NY.

Thanks, stay cool , H-

i'm already over 75k, so won't work for me.

i don't think i've ever heard of an engine going bad because of 'bad oil', and I bet Valvoline hasn't either. they're just the first ones to use it as a marketing pitch

Just saw the Advanced Auto weekly ad and it has the SynPower and a K&N filter for only $24.99. Can't beat that with a Chevy, I mean stick, when Wally world sells Mobil one for around 26.99 in the five quart bottle, still need a filter too. Heading to AA now.

ya its not the oil that goes bad, is the garbage in the oil pan with the oil that causes an engine to go bad... thats why even with synthetic oil i stilll change my oil every 5 - 7000 km. Cleans the engine out and drains anything out. I cant imagine driving 300k on an oil change, u would be dumb to even thinka bout trying that

lol, they don't say 'put our oil in and drive 200000 on it', they guarantee your engine if you keep doing regular oil changes using their oil.

Sorry I should have clarified better, you must maintain a "every 3,000 mile oil change" and keep a digital log of the oil changes on line with the account you hold through Valvoline to qualifiy. You get a little grace period for the 3,000 because they know you can't always get it done on the 3,000 mile time. Hope this helps, thanks H-

oh okay, i get it now.... that isnt a very good marketing add for them thouhg, most synthetic oils claim you can go like 10,000 km before needing an oilchange, why would the market it as the same duration as regular oil?

How many gas engines even get to 300k versus how many that do not.
