Default Truck has mind of it's own. Any electrical genius here?

My truck has been going haywire lately with some electrical issues....I recently installed HID lights on my truck and lately some strange things happen......basically what happens is my ABS and Park Brake lights come on the dash, then my speed gauge drops to 0 while moving, my air doesn't work (or it pulse's on off on off real fast), my windows and horn doesn't work either, and one of my headlights will come on without having them on.

Everyone I have talked to told me the HID should have nothing to do with all those problems....

No it shouldn't but it sound like a bad ground wire somewhere? Most of those items you are having issue's with are postive grounded, which work off the ground wire.

have you removed the HID's to see if the problem goes away?

Maybe you have an issue with your relay board under the hood. It's tough to pinpoint your problem without probing several wires to find any open leads or dead one's.

where would I start looking for grounds and loose wires, or where could I start under the hood......
also if this means anything, my resistor's that are plugged into my factory headlight harness, the one where the light comes on by itself has a fuse in it's resistor and the one that stays off does not have an in-line fuse in it. would that be an issue?

check the battery and alternator, these trucks become possessed when the battery is low.

I have a volt meter...if I test with that is it even accurate? I know a good electrical system should be putting out 12.6-13.2 if I'm remembering correct

hahaha yea i figured you meant it that way.....
I'm not sure yet because it doesn't do it all the time, only once in a while usually when driving...but it makes sense that all those items would cut out together because that ground is for the fuse box which holds the fuse to all those things....on top of that my truck didn't do any of that prior to me installing the other wire kit and removing it...it only happened right after the old wire harness was removed and the new lights were installed...
It makes sense it would only do it while driving since maybe when hit bumps it caused the ground to lose contact...
I think it's a bingo though
