Nice link Blues, haven't seen that before. Wouldn't have helped me but definitely will be a book mark for next time.

Thanks, and yeah, took some thinking. I was in the same boat with debating the JL Audio center console set up for my 2nd gen. Ultimately thought it was too much $ and was told by forum members to just build one myself. Kicked around the sub box under the rear seat but really like the ability to flip up the rear seat and put tools back there.

This design was to drop into the factory center seat bracket, and the added bump out on the top gave me a final volume of .72 with 3/4. My kappa 10 was rated for .75 with poly for the 'ideal' set up. Honestly think it's more stealth then the JL, so very happy.

Get the center console box that leaves the top of the console there, its a great choice, you have to lift the center console anyway to be able to get into that storage, you lose less storage than with the back one, and its cheaper. It sounds great, with a good punch, and I cant barely hear it from outside the truck, I have a rockford fosgate p3 in there, and they come color matched interior.

Default center console

Here is a quick project, 8" infinity sub that sound wonderful. Kept all function including the padding for the seat.
