It needs to be a momentary on/off/on switch if you just get an on/off/on toggle if you leave it on for too long it will burn up the motor. I looked at every damn store around here trying to find one and no one local carried one. The switch that comes with the kit really isn't that bad though. I had my doubts about it but it really isn't that bad of a switch

as long as it is a momentary on/off/on switch you'll be fine, it may need to be special ordered though

No that one will not work, it has to be a Momentary ON/OFF/ON switch so a three way switch, the one in the link is just an ON/OFF.

When using the "momentary" cut out on/off switch, count to 3 seconds everytime you either close/open the cutout.
That is just enough time, for the blade in the cutout to open or close.
This will preserve the electrical cutout motor, as it doesn't have limit switches to stop the motor from turning when it reaches it's fully open/closed positions.
Hope this is clear?
Al.

On mine it takes 4sec to fully open and close. The best way to find out on yours is to climbe under the truck and have someone push the button and watch it to see how long it takes to fully open and fully close. If you do it outside with the truck turned off you can actually hear the motor open it and close it so that can help too with timing
