Default HIDs Questions

I'm wondering what temperature HIDs to get.
What looks good on a ram.

Also, i found the 6000K for like 80 bucks, and it has a good ballast thats waterproof and everything, but all the other temps are $110.

Anyone got any suggestions or better yet pictures?

This one on the website isn't very good.

And is it worth 20 bucks to upgrade to the "Digital Slim" ballast?
It says something about the 'soft start' being better on the bulb and making it last longer.

Alot of people have gone that cheap route on getting HIDs and they have issues with them flickering or strobing or warranty issues.

Ive got 6k on my headlights and fogs. However my camera sucks and so a picture of just the color of the bulbs is ahrd to get AND compare to others. But make sure you read up on people with cheaper HIDs and the issues they have and see if thats reakky the route you wanna take.

I have 5000K and 6000K. They kind of stopped making 5000K in between me buying heads and fogs. I love the 5000K look, but I think 6000K is the way to go with your choices. 4300K is whiter. You can't really take a picture at night with them on because they blind the camera, my sig pic is during the day though.

Are the regular ballasts digital and not slim? You want the digital ballasts for sure. But buying a cheap HID kit is NOT the way to go, if you don't want to spend the money twice, at least.

im running 8000K and love them. i got a guy that has excellent kits for $85 shipped if you want and theyre far better than anything ive run. i had to replace my kits because the quality was horrible and had major radio interference the first time, but after going with my new kits i ordered, theyre perfect! no strobing, radio interferance or anything.

thats my video with the original kits i bought, they look great, but the road was wet since it just rained so the lights are much brighter normally and the video does no justice at all!

Stay away from the super cheap kits for strobing issues and burnt bulbs. The colored pic you posted need to have the colors moved to the left. 5k is white. 6k is noticeably blue, not white. 8k is blue. 10k is super blue, 12k is going purple.

mmstar23, you need to crank down those housings. Your lights are shining almost to the roof. That's gotta be blinding for other cars??? The one house, your lights actually lit up the roof edge and your house the middle of the beams were like neck height on the garage door. They shouldn't be any higher than the bulb itself at 20ft away. Prob the level kit that threw them up there?

I have 6000k in the headlights, and Silverstar Ultra fogs. I got an aftermarket projector HID kit for $170 from Twiggy on DT. Good product, no flickering, lamp out, etc. And fast shipping, ordered them on a Thursday, and got them a couple days later on Monday, probably would have been even sooner if it wasn't for the weekend. And they are much brighter, they shine a lot farther, and wider than the Silverstar bulbs, and the stock bulbs can't even compare to the HIDs.

I don't know why the lights look pink in this pic, they're actually white, with a bluish tint
