Ive just been browsing around looking at things i'd eventually like to put on the truck and I found this throttle body. It's 90mm which i believe is 5mm more than what people seem to be putting on their trucks right now but that price is pretty damn steep so I have no intention of doing this unless 10 grand falls into my pocket soon. What are yalls opinions on this? Worth the price for the performance gains?

I'd put in a cam before i'd drop 500 bones on a TB...or gears.

 

Haha, I was looking at the same thing. But I'm not sure why you'd need an extra 10K to afford a $500 part? Does anyone have one of these yet? I'm sure it was probably on rubberfrog's list of things to buy, but I ain't seen him around for awhile...

 

thats actually not too bad considering their isn't a core charge (since they can't use the old one at all). I don't see it being worth it unless you get a bigger exhaust, intake, and cam first. then when the TB is the weak link in the system, this could have a monster effect...but till then

Remember Guys, Froggy was banned. But he may be back. As far as topic goes, I wouldn't spend that much money on the TB if thats the only performance mod you would have. There's alot more things you could get with the 5 slabs that would bump up the power by them selves. just my

 

There are a lot of other parts that you could drop that cash on that would get you more of a boost in performance than the TB.

You could also get a Fastman ported TB, it isn't 90mm like the one here but it is 87mm (at least mine is). It is much cheaper than this TB.

 

Yeah a throttle body is way down the line of mods for me and just dropping 500 bucks for my deductible after someone broke in to my truck, my intake and programmer have been put on hold for a month or so untill I get a nice bonus check. I just thought this was interesting because I this is the biggest one ive seen so far but 500 seems a lot for it. Ill probably just end up going with a Fastman TB down the road and save a few bones.
