Just threw it together real quick. Using velcro in that slot to keep everything intact and not flying out. You'll need to cut a big hole or completely hollow out the back of that slot in order for the CB to sit in there good because of the antenna cable.

You probably don't want it under the steering wheel,I have a trailer brake control there and I'm always hitting my knee on it.

I had one in my truck but took it out due to lack of use.

Here are some pics of the mount I custom built for it. It mounts to the center seat mounting bolts.

hmm, i like this idea. the only problem i see is that my seat is pretty close to the cupholder, so i dunno if i could fit one without having to adjust my seat back farther, guess it's a small price to pay though. do you have pictures of the bracket you made?

Not right now, I can look through my tool box to see if I have the mount still, and grab some pics for you.... Heres the link that I based the mount off of though... http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo....CB_MOUNT_0305N

But for mine, I put the narrow part closer to the driver side, and I just welded the mount that came with the radio to the peice that I made.

I like the looks of that mount on the link you gave, soundwavesram. I wonder of it interferes with the cup holder?

I like my Ram, but they sure didn't make it easy to mount accessories (like radios & brake controller).

I just got off work & checked... I keep my seat in the rearmost position so there ought to be plenty of room. Thanks again for the tip!
