Default dodge pros opinion

Hey guys did some searching, and learned a little but some of the info was a little old.I have a 02 stock 4x4 and was wondering what you pros would recommend for a budget price tire? I am looking for a more aggressive tire than my bfg all terrains.also do you think I should mail order or buy locally shipping seems very pricey for tires. Thanks for your opinions!

Primary uses? Is the truck at stock height? What size wheels do you have?
Oh and you'll get more damn tire opinions on here than you can shake a stick at, good luck...

Well, as for mail order vs local I have found you can usually get the same tire local at the same price than the mail order by the time you factor in mounting, ect. Also do not be shy to show them the price on the net if the net is cheaper, they will usually match.

For the price, you can't beat Nitto Terra Grapplers. Cepek FC-IIs are a great tire, but you'll pay for em.

i recommend Hankook Dynapro mudgrips, run about 180 a tire, not sure if that's in your budget.

That is basically why I asked the OP his intended use. Both are fantastic tires, but are completely different tires. The Terra Grapplers are a true A/T tire, along with the Toyo Open Country A/Ts and the Mickey Thompson ATZs and others.
The FCIIs are a hybrid, right between an A/T and an M/T, with the Interco M16s being really the only other true hybrid.
Then you have true M/Ts such as the Nitto Mud Grapplers, Cepek Mud Countries, Mickey Thompson MTZs, Toyo Open Country M/Ts and a plethora of other fine mud tires.
In the extreme off-road end, you've got the Baja Claws and Boggers.
Now if he plans on being pretty much on the pavement, it's hard to beat the Cooper Zeon LTZs, but that tire would be a poor choice off-road.

I don't think any of y'all can give this guy THE RIGHT recommendation until he tells us what he plans to do with his truck...

But that's just my

as far as online or local, I would check both but for me it was online. I bought my tires and rims mounted and balanced and delivered for 300.00 cheaper than I could get them local and the local dudes wouldn't budge. i got my rolling stock from JEGGS> All I had to do was put them on the truck,But check around because the butt rapers that are around here aren't everywhere.

The Firestone DESTINATION A/T are fairly aggressive. I bought a set for my old s10 and I absolutely loved them. 10 times better than the BFGs I have on my Ram right now. I bought them from http://www.roadwaywholesaletire.com and at the time they were offering free shipping. I also got a $50 gift certificate for Home Depot.
