$450 for a brake line????
my brakes are sticking so i took it to my mechanic. He said it was going to cost $450 for the left brake line. for some reason dodges are $400 more than an average car. Am i getting ripped off or what..??
dude you could go stainless steel brake lines for $200. ya gotta love the stealerships...
that being said, if the brakes are sticking i dont think its the brake lines. more like a faulty caliper/piston if i had to take a guess. get another opinion from another shop (for diagnosis AND price)

yeah the guy said that it built up inside and is causing it not to release. i had the caliper replaced and didnt do anything. $350 after..not fixed. now another $450, this is crazy. i have a friend a dodge dealership and hes going to check it out for me tomorrow. we cant anyone be honest..???
Unlikely, The brake system is a closed system and generaly there isn't any build up in the system. Brake fluid is corrosive, Hence the metalic lines, anything does get into it generally it is disolved pretty quick and doesn't usually pose a threat. Not to mention the fluid filler hole has a particle screen over it to prevent junk from getting in.
However, Disconnect one end of the line from the Master Cylinder (Quickly plug the hole). Disconnect the other end from the brake. drain it as much of the fluid out of the line as you can. Then take a compressor pumped to 150 psi min and blow that puppy out. That will clear any obstructions. No need to replace the line.
BTW, If you do this, Don't do it over anyones lawn, Especially not yours. And Definitly stay away from the wifes flowers.
With that said, Have you checked for ,ABS issues, Gunk on the pads or rotors, Or is it possible your brakes are overheating, even Slightly warped rotors will sometimes feel like the brakes are sticking. Are you confident the caliper was actually replaced with a new one?
Or, Pull the fuse for the ABS and see if issue is still there.
