License Plate Fixture Shot
So, I took my truck over to get a brake tag and the inspection man clearly pointed out that my right license plate bulb was out. Ok, no harm. Went out and bought some bulbs, but to my unfortunate luck, it is not the bulb. The housing is probably bad. So where do I start? Should I just cut loose the old housing and take a trip to the junkyard and re wire the new fixture?
Thanks in advance,
Kris

before you go spending money on a new light fixture you need to figure out the problem. do some trouble shooting. grab (or make) a nice long wire with alligator clips on both ends. attach one end to the battery and the other end to the brake light wire. if it lights up, your problem is somewhere closer to the front of the truck. if it doesnt light up, its the fixture. repeat process until you find where the break in current is.
