Hi all, new to this site....I have a 2005 Ram Daytona and my first question was how can I make it a bit louder? I have the borla exhaust system in it from the dealership...but can I switch the muffler to like a flowmaster 44 to make it louder? My other question was I wanted to get larder tires for my truck...do I go leveling kit or lifting kit...I dont' know honestly what's the difference...please help!

 

If you want loud and a good noise, Flowmasters are good. If you want loud and a good noise without sacrificing performance, get a Cherry Bomb Extreme or Vortex.

There's a lot of info on lifts and leveling kits in the FAQ section, but the difference is a level lifts the front end of the vehicle so it sits level with the rear, and a lift actually lifts the vehicle uniformly.

I replaced my borla with a 14" magnaflow and got rid of the resonating tips. and its alot louder! and I used to have 35's on my truck when it was levelled.

 

WoW that Daytona is sick...where did you find the black mods like on your hood and is that just a black fender.....man those mods look sick...I love the rims!....so you just leveled the daytona and then you put your 35s on?

Get rid of the resonator will make the borla a little louder. I think there was one on the Daytona.

 

how do you remove the resonator?

 

ya I just got vinyl stripes on the side of my hood scoop. and I finished the back stripe to the bottom. I also got a se of 07 ram 20's and painted them black.

and the resonators are in the exhaust tips. just replace them with some regular ones. I did two 4" tips.

and ya. I just did 5 cranks on the T bars to tuck 35's. but now I want it lower. so I've cranked it down 6 turns and put 2" drop shackles in the rear.
