Well, last night I dropped in my K&N "Performance intake" so when I gas up today I'll be checking the gas mileage. Hopefully I can get it up a little bit. I drive about the same as Mattes, 45 miles a day highway at 65-70 mph, with about 15 miles city, stop and go all the way. When anyone else has installed their K&N, did the "beast" start roaring as loudly as mine? Plus I got a banging at midrange accelerations. I'm thinkin my pipe is vibrating against something. Got to dampen it.

I 've gotten 14.9 over two years and 48,000 miles on a 2003 Quad 4x4 and towing package including 3.92 dif with a HEMI. That includes some towing and moderate 4 wheeling.

Use your cruise control when you can. Lay of on the quicl starts. 15 MPG is what you should be getting. I've gotten the advertized 17 MPG when on trips traveling less than 70 MPH.

However, it sure is fun to jump on it once in a while.

My advice is to come clean with your wife and just tell her you want the tail pipes (or whatever).

Haha, luckily, there's no female to oppose the pipes. When I find one that pushes me to get the pipes, I'll know I've found a winner.
