These things are the reason I don't buy new vehicles anymore,94 was the last time. I buy gently used 2-4 years old usually I let the first buyer get all the bugs out of it and do all the warranty bickering with the dealer. I also let the first guy take the big hit on depreciation. I have had very good luck this way. There are good dealers out there, there are just alot of dbags too. If you have a small town dealer around you go there instead of the larger dealer usually you will get better treatment at a smaller dealer.

Sorry to here about your run around from the dealers. I am currently employed at a dealership and see those common problems almost everyday. I was laughing my *** off when he said the staling was from the cai. sounds like you need a new dealership to go to. Its funny cuss my dealership is hurting for work and those guys kicking you out the door like that would **** me off to. Its dealers like that give us the bad name. That almost makes me mad as well.

 

i hear you my truck has been in the stealership for 3weeks now for the transmission and everytime i call and check they tell it should be ready by tomorrow they have told me the same think for a whole week now what kinda bs is that

 

i totally agree with rtohio i'm so glad to have the dealership I do. took the truck in today for the service manager to check my rims and order a new set. he walked out looked told me yep they are messed up i'll order new ones 7-10 days I'll call you... super easy and only 5 min of my time.

 

The CAI!?!? Thats hilarious! Like George Lopez says, "F*** that Puto!!."

 

I tell my dad who is a manager at the dodge dealership some of those stories and he says that sucks I wish I could help out. He is doing so well and so is there service this will be the 4th year in a row that he has set a record for the dealership and climbed 400,000 dollars in parts sales for 08. After all the letters got sent out and his dealership is the one that stayed he said he is looking to have another record year for 09. The service at the dealership is great plus a perk of having fam in the business I can get an entire tuneup done in a couple hours with no wait because i got that foot in the door.
Sorry to hear your problems and hopefully one of these days they will get it right

 

That whole deal is sad. My dealership is/WAS a real good one as well but they lost their dodge branding...im screwed now as well...

 

Well looks like my area is stripped of good dealers. Ive been to both of the Dodge dealers, next I am going to get the auto AC place to check my air and if they say something is broke I am going to take their service slip up to dodge. I just hope my CAI doesn't cause my truck to start talking to me next time haha
