i want bigger gears on my truck...question....what is the average cost of 4:56 gears on my 4 x 2?????....and...any websites to look at?????

I got mine from and installed at 4wheel parts, Around $900 out the door + warranty.

All the shops around here wanted 400-450 to install, I got guy from the Dodge dealership to do it on the side for 250. I couldnt say no to that.

or you can get them from airram and get them installed for 330. the catch is you have to drive to dallas but it will help them break them in on the trip back lol

while you're in there gettin the 4.56, you may as well get the free install of the limited slip. I recommend Auburn or Detroit Tru Trac. Auburn is an extra 400, DTT about 500. For install of gears/lsd, you shouldnt pay more than $500 labor (its 6-8 hrs labor). I got mine from airram just cause he had a great sale. moesperformance is also a GREAT seller. I've had great success with both those guys.

you can fit 4.88s in a two wheel drive, 4.56 is the max on a 4x4 because the front pumpkin won't fit larger ones. I was quoted $570 on just gears, parts and labor at a local shop.
