Without the motor running turning the fan/water pump the temps will always rise a bit. I don't have my e-fan run after shut-down, since nothing would be cooled except the coolant in the radiator.

ya these are some good tips especially in this hot july weather. So people with electric fans do you guys still have your clutch fan?

The only reason I would go to an electric fan for main cooling is when I switch engines (eventually, hopefully) and I need that 6.1 intake which you absolutely have to get rid of the clutch fan.

I like that idea. toss the clutch fan and mehanical water pump at same time.

Wonder if you could so same with an electric oil pump and an oil cooler?

Race cars do the electric water pump thing all the time, less drag = more hp = better ET's. I don't know if you could REPLACE the factory oil pump, but there are prelube systems that get the oil pressure up some before startup, mostly for diesels.
