Try cleaning out and grounding the throttle body to the chassis. See if that helps. Can't hurt and costs next to nothing to do.

I know this is an old thread, but check the wires near the top of the A/C compressor first. Some trucks had the wires routed (at factory) too close to the A/C compressor pulley. The ETC shares a reference voltage wire with the A/C. If the pulley is rubbing on these wires, once the insulation is gone enough for the conductor (wires) to touch the pulley, the ETC shorts to ground. Symptoms include racing idle, stalling, and ETC light illuminated on cluster. Could be intermittent. I suppose if a dealer was dishonest they could fix the wire and say something else was wrong and charge the crap out of you.

You have to have a factory scan tool or equivalent scanner to read etc codes. A lot of the time the etc light will come on for a vehicle stalling because on these trucks if you press the gas down to keep it from stalling but are at a stop sign and jam the brakes after the gas pedal it will throw a code.

Default ESP and ETC lights

07 Dodge Durango 5.7 Hemi, coming off expressway onto ramp and the ESP light stayed on while the ETC light flashed, didn't want to accelerate after stopping, pulling over and throttle revved, shut off the engine and lights didn't come back on. First time this has happended. Weather in Michigan has been quite cold. What type of problem is this and how do I fix it?

Default throttle problem?

I own a 2004 dodge ram 1500 w/hemi, 5.7. It seemed to hesitate when you first started it up and then put it in drive it wouldn't go for a second and then would pick up. Yesterday there no power on an incline. Downhill was ok. Throttle issue?

I have an 04 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi, a few months ago I had the ETC replaced after diagnostics report to service. Since then my cruise control has not worked. I just replaced a fuse under my steering assembly and now it works but only as long as I keep speed under 40 mph. Any suggestions?

Default Throttle body

Hello my throttle light cane on so we replaced the part! It was a bad part so we took it back now this mechanic is telis telling me it has to be programed to my vehicle system! I have googled this and talked with my father who is a mechanic in Chicago but can’t get here to do it his self so can someone please tell something about this problem! This mechanic won’t come install the new part until the dealership gets him a date to bring my car in! I believe if this throttle body doesn’t work it could be the sensor in the peddle so if anyone could help me out please do!!!
I have a 2004 dodge durango 5.7 hemi

spray out and clean your throttle body. it is probably getting stuck. Clean it really good. no carbon or deposits.
