Default Dead power door lock and power window

My rear driver side door power window and lock went out at the same time. Neither can be operated from the master switches or the passenger door itself.

Any ideas?

Have you traced and checked your wiring to that door? If everything else works fine and the power for the windows goes through the window lockout switch on the drivers door then I would think it is something in the door. A lot of people see to have issues in the wiring in the rubber boots on the doors where the wire gets pinched and broken over time. You may want to check that.

Some months ago my left rear door power lock went out. Wire was broken inside the rubber boot.

I just worked on this problem a couple of weeks ago. At first it was my speaker crackling then my door lock was intermitten. So, finally I broke down and started investagating the problem. I pulled the door panel off, removed the speaker, removed the interior panel (behind the drivers seat), pulled the rubber boot off (you have to pull it back thru the door to be able to have enough slack in the wires) and found 4 or 5 wires completely broken. Re-soldered them back together and problem resolved. Oh yeah, the door panel comes off sliding it upward do not pull it out or the little plastic brackets break and then you have another problem. So I hear Hope this helps.
