Just went to check on Pyro's truck, almost done. The guy said that he would have had about 100 miles on the rear diff before it exploded. ALL factory LSD "C-Cliips" were not to be found, just a "pile" of shavings in the carrier. NICE!!!

quick question, I was cleaning my truck out earlier and noticed i currently have 3.55 gear ratio on my truck (it said this inside the glove box). What exactly do the gears do performance wise, I hear a lot of positive talk about the 4.56 gears.

Thanks

they do allot.. as far as 3.55 go they suck 3.92's are mid grade and better for most stock trucks 4.56 gives you more umph of the line better low end better for towing . once you go 4.56 you will $hit yourself

not to thread jack but ive been seriously considering the 4.56 swap from 3.55's. im not necesarily looking for better performance, but im looking for some MPGs since ill be making a 7 hour trip a lot to and from college. and most will be highway. just tell me what you guys think if it will help my MPGs since i have a 5.5" lift and 35's

That sucks, at least they found it before damage occured. From what I understand the factory C" clips have a tendancy to go bad anyway.
