2006 Ram 1500 Quad Cab Lone Star Edition 5.7L Hemi

I haven't even had the truck a week yet and I already started with the mods.

1. Seat cushion upgrade
2. Magnaflow muffler with removal of rear resonator

Exhaust is still a bit too quiet. How will it sound without the front resonator?

Welcome to DF

1..sweeeeet
2.Mag is good

Will sound much better, but what length is the Mag you installed? Longer =quieter with Mag. 16-18" is most common. 18"+ is quiet side

That's gonna be quiet regardless of what you try and do. Your best bet is to buy a smaller case and sell the 22".

Just beaware that a smaller case with louder exhaust is gonna make the MDS unbearable. that's why i bought a tuner to disable it.

Whatever comes in the 16700 Magnaflow kit. No resonators.

lxman did you only have the small rear resonator on your truck? Mine has another resonator in front of the muffler that looks like the muffler only smaller.

Welcome rocmemphis, do you have any pics of the truck? R U indeed from memphis,I used to go down to the Beale St festival every year.

Welcome to 3rd Gen - Nice choice...

If you leave your truck with these boys, it will come out more tricked out than the show

But they are alright guys, just don't post any intro pics with a ford... big (but funny) mistake

I did almost what you did but with an 18" magna...did the muffler and it was way too quiet. So I removed the rear resonator and still too quiet but better..so I had the front one removed and it sounds great. Easily twice as loud and a lot meaner.
