Default new intake....

i just have a few questions i got this intake http://cpwstore.carpartswholesale.co...S-V218205.html here for my birhday will be here tomorrow as long as tracking info is correct now i know alot of you guys run this or similar to it what have you guys done with the oil breather is it? ive seen some small filters on them and was wondering if thats the route to go ? and the iat sensor does it have a bung for it? and i ve read about the mount breaking off ive got a solution for that i think so im aplay around with that ..... but as soon as i get it on ill let yall know and post up some pics in this here thread.....and ill be painting some stuff over the weekend and ill post up some pics of that also......thanx guys

With a lot of the kits the intake doesn't have a spot for the IAT or the Oil air line. So more then likely you will end up needing to drill a hole for the IAT and install your own mounting method of choice. Same thing with the oil, which is why for simplicity sake people are putting the small filters on it (I did)

That intake should have the holes in it already for the IAT and the oil breather. The only thing I recommend doing w/ that is getting a better air filter like the AEM dryflow when you get some more cash.

thanks chambers it relieves me a lil especially knowing its on it way will be here tomorrow and if its a 3.5 in intake i gota k&n filter for it if not ill be getting one i already had figured the filter with it was a cheapo...

well i got it and it looks great the filter is not bad at all i figured it be a cheapy but it ok for now my k&n is way to large for the area its in so ill be looking for something else when the time comes of course the damn bushing mount broke while installing so ill fig something out for that enuf said on with pics.....

and man ill tell u its definatly suckin some air it sounds great and makes a big differance im happy .....sorry my engine bay is dirty i havent cleaned it in a while matter of fact the whole truck hasnt been washed in over 3 weeks cause of rain......

Looks good, that sucks about the mount though, kinda makes me glad I paid twice as much for the spectre. How does it feel on the old butt dyno?

ahhhh ill make something better that was a dinky part i kinda expected it but as far as the ole buttox they liiiiiiikey so much the fiance had to tell me to back it down abit so i didnt get stopped....ooooops dont wanna make her mad....but hey it is definately best bang for buck honestly definately compliments the exhaust and it sucks some air for sure.......

Yea I did my intake first then exhaust and now I can't even hear the intake anymore b/c the exhaust is so loud.

that was a kuhl vue right Jay, and would you recomemd it, i was checking out the link and good lord almost a 250-350 dollar savings, is it all you expected, and thanks for the link
