yea i know if i cant get them apart then im just gonna do what you did except just vht the eyelid and let it dry. then paint silver over it.

Did you use the night shades to do the eyelid? If so how many coats did it take to make sure the light wouldnt pass through?

Looks great man, good quality work too! I love the way eyelids make theses trucks look...too bad I have a white truck or I would try putting some on mine.

looks friggin sweet, but you need some hyper whites or maybe some HID's but looks good

 

If Ya'll will remember my headlights were already tinted with NITESHADES. I made my line with blue painters tape, scuffed up the part to be the eye lid. Then I cleaned it with Prep spray and finished masking it off. I sprayed 3 coats of Adhesion promoter then I shot it with 5 coats of VHT Epoxy paint satin black. The VHT epoxy paint is a self priming paint that with stands all kinds of weather conditions and its good for metal, aluminum and plastics. You can also get in gloss black and I think they have other colors out now. Not trying to advertise for them but I got to say the new line of paints VHT has out are really good paints. I used their wrinkle finish paint on my chrome intake and that stuff is tough as nails. Well enough boosting VHT!
