Default disable daytime running lights

I have a 2003 Cummins 2500 quad cab, it's a canadian version so i have daytime running lights. I need to disable that function, i read that i can change my FCM with one from an american Ram.... my friend has a 2004 SRT10 single cab, american version.
Can i trade his FCM with mine ? so i haven't daytime running lights and he will have that. Is there some problems ? will this work ?
thank you so much...

No, he has a V10, it will not work. You need a Chrysler Star scanner to turn off that option in the PCM.
Does the 03 have relays under the hood that you can unplug? I know my 08 does not.

If you don't need high beams cut the high beam wire. I have HID's so I have no high beam at all.

That would be the easiest way to disable them. They may not even charge you. It took my dealer about 2 minutes to turn mine back on in my Grand Caravan after they accidentally turned them off working on something else.

GRRRRRRR.... now i still have a problem... if i connect the 3 wires from stock plug to hid harness, when i turn on low beam i'm suddenly in high beam mode, and if i move the high beam switch i still remain in high beam, i only have a flash when i move it, but after the "click" they stay in high beam...
if i unplug the high beam wire from hid plug, when i turn on headlight i have standard low beam without problem, but i lack high beam and i need them...

have you got any idea to help me ? i'm in italy so sorry for english...

What if you put the low beam wire on the high beam HID wire and high beam on the low beam? What happens then?
