Exclamation Key Sensor in 2005 Daytona

I am having a strange problem with my 2005 Dodge Ram Daytona. It appears that the ignition thinks that my key is still in the switch. I open the door and the key-in-ignition alarm starts going, I can't lock the doors with the door switch unless I am inside and the door is closed, and when I use the remote door lock the horn and lights do not activate indicating that the lock has engagned (although the doors do lock, thank goodness).

Anyone else had this problem? Am I going to have to get a new ignition?

You might try spraying some WD-40 into the key cylinder. Maybe that will free up whatever is stuck and thinks that the key is still in there.
