Default coil spacer question?

I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 with a 7 inch lift by CST. Now this truck is 2wd and i was wondering if you could put those 2 inch coil spacer they sell on Ebay on my truck that already has a suspension life? MY plan is that while i replace the upper control arms i could throw them in while the suspension is apart and then throw some add-a-leafs or 5 inch blocks under the rear to even everything out, so then it would be like another 2 inches on top of the 7 inch lift it has. I have heard you cannot put coil spacer on a truck that has a suspension lift already. please let me know so i don't wast my money on stuff i don't need if i can't do it. thank you

Well those 7" CST lifts do a 4" spindle lift and 3" coil spacer lift already. Not to mention CST does supply a cross member drop so the lower A control arms are already at an angle. The only diference between CSTs 4" and 7" lift is the 3" spacers they add in the 7" lift. So I am assuming you didnt put your lift on yourself but hopefully that answers your Q. I think your best bet at this time is a body lift.

I wouldn't recommend using a spacer on top of the CST kit.. If you want bigger, you should do a 3" body lift.

Side question - How well does the 4.7 push those 37's around? Did you re-gear?

well i bought the kit when they first came out. i didn't get a 3 inch coil spacer in the kit just the bigger spindles and coil springs. i didn't know they make a cross member drop for the lower control arms. When i got my kit all i got was the 4 inch coils, the bigger spindles and the blocks for the rear, that was it. btw i put the kit in my self. i guess i would have to call cst on this stuff.

you got bigger coils and no shocks to go with? Doesn't sound right. But i agree with the 3" body lift. Really cheap and easy enough to do in your driveway.

Yeah, sry I said that wrong. CST does NOT do a cross member drop like you said, Rough Country does.

Look HERE and HERE for PAs BL instructions

Default diff work

i plan on getting some bigget gears for my ram 1500. my questions is that i want to put 4.56 gears with a locker in the rear. its a 2wd truck. has any done this set up and what size tire are you running with that set up. i am right now rolling on some 37s. according to the diff calculator on 4lo.com 4.56 would works best. i would like to know how its working for anyone out there that is doing the same setup i am. thank you for you input. i will be getting all the parts of airram.com.

4.56 would be perfect. thats what everyone else on here is doing. and im pretty sure you cannot fit bigger than a 4.56 in that stock pumpkin. and as far as the spacers go. personally i wouldnt use them in your situation. getting bigger springs is very similar to getting spacers, and adding that much more height to your springs cant be good on the rest of your front end components.
