Can it be done? Was at an audio store and they said for $250 they would do it. I kind of thought that was odd because I have never seen it done before. Has anyone ever done this? Would love to have one in my pickup. If you have what have you all had to do to get it to fit?

 

Its done all the time. You have 3 options,

Option 1, goto dodge dealership and order a nav bezel for your truck, This is the most expensive option.

3rd option, Carefully Dremel that sucker. Really very little needs to be taken off to make it a 2 din bezel. This is what most seem to be doing and it is what I did. (Id give you pictures, Buy don't have a camera) But I am sure someone else can provide some pics.

 

the dodge dealer can not do it. the double din was not an option on 04's, so they dont make that kind of trim. id say best bet is that ebay link. i think one other guy on here got one a while back and liked it.

 

There was a nav option for the 02 - 05's. It was a very rare option but an option none the less. I have a P/N somewhere, However, I would have to hunt it down. If you really really want it I will look.

 

yeah, id like to see it. im still contemplating going double din.

 

They made nav for 2004 trucks but it used the same 1.5 DIN opening every other Ram did that year.

Double DIN was not an option, period.

 

Yep, DD was NOT an option because the top of the dash has to be trimmed to make the DD HU fit. I have an 04 and cut and bondo-ed my center bezel to fir my DD.

I have seen one in a ram 2500. I know the 05 srt10's had a din.5 nav. However I beleive there was a 2 din nav for the 2500's.

I had a number a friend of mine that worked for a dealership gave me. I can't seem to find it. Ill keep looking for it though and let you know if I find it.
