Default HID Problems!!!

Its getting dark and im at a friends house.. we wired in my HIDS and when i have the truck off with the lights on the hids kick on and work perfect as well as ejecting the Parking brake without the truck on to trigger the driving lights.

Now when i turn the truck on low beams dont work and then the lights when i turn them on pulse. Ive read up some stuff about resistors and ****.. but right now im split between running a 12v Current to the bulb, to the ballast and then grounding them and using the negative from the oem harness..

Any Quick replies are great

Sounds like a cheap Ebay kit. Dodge computers are tricky things!

The computer cant see the lights so it will send pulses of power to the lights thats what causes the strobing of the lights.

In a word yes........but I don't have a clue what value.
Your computer needs to see your headlights as a "load". The HID's don't provide this resistive value, like the incandescent bulbs do. Therefore they flicker.
There is a cancellor harness, made by some HID vendors that includes capacitors and resistors to get around this known problem.
The cheap HID kits don't have them.
Hope this is helpful?
Al.

20watt/10ohm resistors work. Radio shack part number 271-120 and $2.49 each
