so i took my 05 ram off roadin for about 10 mins several months back and soon after i found out i had an exhaust leak and after followin up on here i found out that this is common for my truck if u take it off roadin.... so i wont b doing that anymore! and then after i warped my rotors and realized my brakes were done... so im thinkin this is gunna b an expensive fix...... i wound up payin 90 bucks total for 2 brand new raybestos front rotors, a new set of carbon metallic front brakes, and the gasket for my exhaust manifold!!! i thot that was a steal until i found out that a previous company i workd for had hired this 21 year old einstein of cars! so i asked him to fix it, he said ya all for 160 bucks!!! hahaha!!! i felt like i was scammin the guy so i gave him 200 and got the guy lunch!!! i was skeptical at first tooo but after hearn he swapped an LS1 into a mazda rx-7 and hearn that he twin turbo'd a Z06 i was pretty sure this guy new wtf he was doin!

 

Why would going off roading cause an exhaust leak?

Serious question, not trying to be a dick. I have an 05 4x4 as well and I love mudding

 

well supposedly from what ive read on here is that a lot of guys who have taken their truck offroadin, their passenger side rear2 bolts that hold on the exhaust manifold snap... and thas wat happened to me. im not guna lie i had a lot of fun offroadin my truck!! but i dont wana do it again or even break something else that would b more expensive! and on ur 05 4x4 do u have a lift kit? or is that ur yellow one?
