between 2200 and 2600 RPM I get a squeel or a whistle while accelerating at a full throttle exceleration it only happens for a moment. I checked the pully bearings and belt, it still makes the sound with the belt off. it sounds like its on the passenger side. it doesnt seem to affect the performance but its really annoying. Any thoughts?

Thats what I was thinking, but what would open up at the rpm range? trans vacuum line?

you sure it aint your idler/tensioner pulley??? Mine did the same....

 

I changed the tensioner and a few idlers, only the PS and AC are un known, but I will try to take the belt off and try it again, just need a long straight away, to hard to turn the trun with out the PS hooked up.

 

Sounds like a PCV valve issue or crankcase breathing issue. My mustang made a similar noise like it was relieving air. The hose that went from the intake tube to the valve cover came off. i know it's a different car, but very similar issu'es goin on here.
