Two problems...

1. Some fool put those chrome-y looking caps on my handles. But I understand they're only held on with 3m tape, so I should be able to deal with them.

2. Chrome-looking wheel arch lips. What holds these things on?? Do I have a chance of removing them without sending the paint job to heck???

 

The handle covers come right off, just pry them off (probably break them all to pieces) and then clean it up bc there will be some tape left over.

 

Chrome wheel arch lips?? You mean the aftermarket 1/4"-1/2" wide chrome covered plastic molding that is dome shaped? That stuff is just 3m tape as well. Should be just like pulling off an emblem.

 

Worried about the 3m ripping paint away.

I should used acrysol or 3m gp remover? Hair dryer help on 3m tape?
