Thumbs up Installed some tow hooks

Bought these from a guy for $50.....

Also removed the front air dam while the bumper was off. I need to paint that chrome bumper black!

looks good, I hate that freakin plastic piece where the tow hooks get installed. Mine doest sit tight and has scratched the paint off the lower part of where it sits.

Yeah that plastic piece kind of scratched the chrome a little as well. But I am probably going to have that chrome part painted or replace it with the black version, so no worries....

As you can probably tell, I flipped the license plate holder around to it does not hang down low now.

Are those tow hooks even functional? It doesn't look like there's enough room to stick a chain or tow rope in between. The ones i put on my jeep stuck out enough to poke someones bumper.

The ram 1500 series tow hook design is pretty lousy from what I have seen so far. The 2500/3500 hooks are far more reasonable for use. I see what you mean though. there's not enough room to hook a tow strap on the right hook there. It's very close to the bumper on the bottom. However, I still want hooks for my 1500....lol i could have used them several times already.

There is enough room to slide a flat strap in there. But I put them on for looks.
I can use them if necessary, but I am not planning on it.
