My son replaced the left front wheel bearing on his 2004 (I believe) Dodge Ram 4x4. When he went to reinstall the wheel, he stripped the nut and had to replace the half shaft. I assumed that the half shaft just pulled out of the diff, but with much prying, pulling and cursing, it has not moved. I cannot see how the shaft can get hung up, unless it is just rusted in place. I don't see any kind of lock ring. Is there a secret? Any help would be appreciated.
