Default spark plugs and wiresets?

could I get some feedback/advice on a planned service for my 2003 1500 4x4 5.7L Hemi.... am going to replace sparkplugs and i've always tried to use the best I could get cause the cost difference over the life of the plugs isn't that much. so it appears the Bosch 4514 are supposed to be pretty bad ***. does anyone have any experience with them on their trucks? is it overkill (the rest of the truck will be stock)? Also, what's the wireset that would go best with those plugs, preferably bosch as well?
thanks in advance.

Babbauee-

Just finished a tune up on my Hemi. I picked up a set of 8mm Taylor wires & NGK Cooper plugs from moesperformance.com for around a $100. The plugs are a PITA to replace but that is to be expected. I am happy with the upgrade.

Just use plain ole cooper plugs. NGK, Autolite...etc $2 each and need replacing every 30kmi.
There's always mixed results with going to Platinum, +4's, Iridums...etc but there is one guarantee about basic copper core plugs. they perform consistently and are very reliable. I stopped using "fancy" plugs a long time ago. Nothing performs like copper. It's simply the best conductor. Especially when your looking at the cost of 16 plugs too!

I just changed the plugs and wires last weekend. Went with champion copper cores, since thats what is stock its what the hemi is tuned on, only makes sense why these engines seem to run the best on them. SuperMag wire set was like $50 from orielly's, plugs were $2 a piece. May as well check your throttle body and PCV valve while your at it.

Stay away from bosch +500 electrodes....they're hard to gap and i've had phantom misses with them in the past. Champs only go in my lawn mower.

the bosch 4514 iridiums don't need to be gapped. i don't mind spending the extra $2 ($32) for the next 30,000miles. does anyone recommend no oem copper plugs?

Everything needs to be gapped I don't care what the package says.
