Default halfshaft replacement

hi all. gonna tear into my halfshafts tomorrow seeing as the drivers one is pooched. any tips/suggestions on how to make this as painless as possible? thanks guys

good luck. let me know how you like the chicken**** retainer clip. the one that holds the cv shaft to the output shaft from the third member. got rid of mine 4 that ****-poor engineering.

wow. you sound angry about that issue! so theres a retainer clip holding it in eh? so remove clip, pull shaft out? sounds simple

so i just finished replacing the halfshaft. it wasn't bad at all. 3 hours or so. it was straight forward. pull the wheel, then the brakes. took the upper control arm off and the steering tie rod as well. at this point it was time to take the halfshaft out, and i've read lots of horror stories. this is not one of them. it slid off pretty easily. i used a screw driver actually. there is a little c clip on the axle which keeps the shaft in. i took it out. don't need it. so ya. it was easy............ my vibration on the highway went away!
