Default Hellas/Hid Wiring ?

ok well i just got hids in the fogs and headlights. so now i think my hellas are pretty much useless bc the light output is minimal now compared to the hids lol. so my questions is when i get hids do i have to re-wire the hellas with a bigger gauge wire? right now they are wired with the 16 gauge wire that the kit came with. t

I think the 16 gauge wire is ok because the stock wiring on our trucks is 18 gauge. I'm not an expert so I'll let someone else chime in but thats my thought.

Bigger guage wire isnt going to make your halogen hells outshine your HIDs. You need to go to higher wattage halogen bulbs in the hellas are replace with HID bulbs.

HIDs only draw 35watts compared to your 55w halogen that comes in the hellas.....you wire is plenty big!

I would like to see some pics when you get them all wired up. Did you get the kit from the site sponsor (can't think of their name)?
