Default 06-08 2wd suspension - same as 02-05?

most lift kits i am finding for a 2wd third gen only specify running from 02-05. Did something change in 06 that runs through 08 where the kits are different?
basically, i am looking for lift options for a 2007 2wd....leveling and lift.

They are different - keep looking as there are many lifts for 06-08.

I am not sure of the details of why they are different but I know they are.

Yep, they are different. Check out Fabtech or CST.

Are you wanting suspension or body?

You can run a 2" spacer with a 3" performance accessories body lift for a 5/3 lift

Or you can go to Fabtech and some other brands for a 6" suspension.

well i've seen the CST kit (coils, spindles, blocks, etc) and it is for 02-08, so i'm just not sure where/how 06-08 is different if they offer one kit for 02-08 where the brake lines are the only thing they specify as being different on the 06-08. They also mention for the 02-05 models that they offer a different kit with a new upper control arms because the stock ball joint on those years does not hold up.

from what i can tell, 02-08 can all be lifted with coils, coil spacers, and/or spindles.
what is actually different between the two year ranges?

The upper control arms are different. The '06-'08 are larger and thicker, so some spacers cause them to hit the upper shock mount. Here is a picture of my front end setup with the Fabtech lift on.

They redesigned the front suspension and front frame for 06.

Only 02-05, 4x4's used the torsion bars, the 2wd's were springs.

do you think 06 upper control arms would fit on a 2002?
