Hey Everyone, I just purchased my first Dodge Ram 1500 truck this past week. It is a 2002 Quad Cab, 2wd, with the 5.9L V8. I am very excited to make this truck my own and was wondering a few things. What are the best things to do to a 5.9L? What are the oem spark plugs and wires for it? Are there any suggestions or secrets about this truck that are good to know? Thanks

 

look in the FAQ's it has all kinds of info for any truck. best thing is make it breath better intake and exhaust. headers etc. pssst if you are single put a set of 20+ wheels on it. girls love a ram on big wheels. oh welcome and congrats on the ram i am on my 5th consecutive( wrecks, trades and upgrades) and i have loved every one of them

Although your trucks a third gen you won't find as many 5.9L's here as you will in the 2nd gen section. They've been modding the 5.2L/5.9L for a while and have lots of good info over there on them. So don't hesitate to post there as well for engine and tranny questions.

Intake, exhaust, Superchips programmer, fastman throttle body are just a few mods that go nice on the 5.9L.
