i agree. heard anything on those wheels yet? 5 trucks max? would it be based off of looks or mods? i alway vote off of looks. i dont really care what some one has done to their engine
since lifting a truck decreases mpg significantly, would lowering a truck slightly increase mpg?
Yes, that is correct. Aerodynamic tests show a small mpg increase with a lowered vehicle. Don't expect massive increases, of course! This is why the Ford Flex sits low like it does, Ford did aero testing with it... There is a bunch of info on aerodynamics at dodgetrucks.org, but the database is down at the moment. The Ram SRT-10's drop and other tweaks dropped its drag coefficient down to that of the Gen2 Rams, but with an 8.3L under the hood, it is still thirsty.
Aside from that, I am really glad to see this thread as a sticky. Sometime in the future, I want to lower my truck a bit, so I will be looking here for guidance...
dude didnt want blacked out wheels. but yeah, i say looks too. 5 entries is a good number too.
what!!!who doesn't want blacked out rims. you should have pitched him on how good they look on that dark green. wish i were closer i have some stock 17's just a chillen in my garage
thats what i said! who doesnt like black wheels? they match EVERY color! whatever... must be an "old" dude AT ANY RATE... i still have some factory 20's, i just need to get tires for them.
so just wondering... how much adjustablility is there in the camber if you get an alignment? what i mean is i lowered my truck with springs up front (trust me i wanted to do spindles, but i couldnt afford it) and want to go just about another inch lower in the front. and i was thinking that if i just cut like half a coil off both sides... would just the alignment be able to correct the camber strait again?
